S.S. Florazen was torpedoed on 11 March 1915 by German submarine U-20 approximately 53 nautical miles North-East by East of the Longships lighthouse and sank on 13 March 1915 approximately 50 nautical miles South-West by South of St. Ann's Head. She was en route from Havre to Liverpool in ballast.
